Our story
BAB Distribution GmbH was founded in 2011 by two partners and “veterans” of IT distribution, Murat Arpaci and Andreas Bajohr. Other shareholders were added to the company including Olaf Biemelt and Wortmann BeteiligungsGmbH. The company thus became a further pillar of the Wortmann Group (group turnover of over 2 billion euros).
Since then, BAB Distribution has been working closely with Wortmann AG (with a turnover of more than 900 million euros) and is one of the leading independent manufacturers of IT equipment in Europe. In addition to BAB’s expertise and knowledge of the various markets, BAB relies on the synergies of the entire group.
In the field of European IT equipment distribution, BAB has quickly established itself as an efficient stocking distributor, based on various partnerships. In addition to the distribution agreement with Toshiba for their storage products (internal and external hard drives, SSDs and flash products), a distribution agreement with Seagate for Samsung external hard drives is in place.
